[BOOK COVER] "Nina Lafayette and the time jump"

Cover for the book "Nina Lafayette e o Salto Temporal" by Mandi Castro, published by Editora Luva. The cover shows the main characters Nina and Aevum, a time traveler from the future, jumping through time from the today São Paulo's Avenida Paulista, where skyscrappers tower over the city landscape, to its 1920's counterpart, displaying the great mansions now gone. As a literal link I placed the cable car and the metro lines in the intercession between the two eras.

On the left, the back cover section, the villain awaits. The idea was not to show very much of him, to represent him more like a shadow then a full material person sice he is also a time traveler. Since the story is situaded part in the 1920's São Paulo, my main reference for him was modernist paintings, characteristic of the artistic movement know as "Semana de 22" (22's Week) where European art movements like Cubism and Futurism were transformed inside brazillian artistic landscape.
