This Inktober I’m exploring the mysterious carved stone heads from the Semi-Subterranean Temple of Tiwanaku — often linked to the Ancient Astronaut Theory, which suggests they might depict visitors from other worlds.
I reimagined them as alien embassadors, emissaries gathered in an ancient galactic assembly on Earth. I selected 31 real heads and paired each one with the official Inktober prompts using a random draw — each word shaping a different alien design. The Inktober prompts receveid sometimes a literal representation or just inspired the visuals but were never put aside giving to the whole process the feeling of a game almost.
All drawings are made digitally, in my pen-and-ink usual style, blending archaeology, myth, and science fiction into one cosmic meeting of civilizations.
